Bringing Nursing Professionals Together to Share Best Practices.
Strategies, Insights, and Connections to Advance the Practice of Nursing
As patient populations continue to rise, as the players in the health care industry become increasingly more complex, and as the reimbursement environment has grown more difficult to manage, health systems are experiencing an increasing number of limitations. Staff shortages and burnout, disparate patient data, meeting evolving patient / consumer expectations, financial sustainability, changing demographics, growing public debt, socio-economic inequities in the delivery of care, and a rapidly changing digital environment are all challenging health systems who are being forced to adapt in order to compete, or even survive.
While disruptive innovations such as the rapid adoption of virtual health visits as well as the emergence of new delivery mechanisms and sites hold the promise of transformation in a traditionally slow-moving industry, to take on transformation requires courage, boldness, risk-taking, and creative thinking.
In navigating the complex landscape of healthcare leadership, Chief Nurse Executives (CNEs) and Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) find themselves at the nexus of patient care excellence and organizational sustainability. As leaders of a large proportion of health system employees, they are at the forefront of engaging frontline staff and representing them in interactions with the C-Suite. As nurses have continued to leave the profession in large numbers, Executive Nurse Leaders are having to leverage their unique skill set – the combination of clinical knowledge, analytical skills, creativity, negotiation skills, and empathy – to advocate for their workforce, build sustainable leadership development and succession planning programs, ensure best quality patient care, manage health systems’ financial priorities, and effectively lead change.
We have an incredible program lined up for this Fall and are very excited to have you join this intimate gathering of Executive Nurse Leaders from across the country for a few days of information exchange and networking. Interactive Panels, Think Tank Sessions, Case Studies, and 1:1 Business Meetings will allow CNEs and CNOs to explore and discuss creative ways to meet these multi-faceted challenges.
